There has been a serious lack of fanfic lately.  It makes me sad.  I'm working on a long ass sequel to The Fallen, but I'm quickly running through the fics on my unread list in my memories.  Where have all the writers gone?

yeah, I know, right? I have noticed this too. I myself am not a fanfic writer, yet... I'm entertaining the possibility of starting and I just posted a thing too see if anybody on here owuld care about my original series but other than that...

Yeah, it's kinda lacking. Maybe everyone is busy with real life. The change of the seasons is coming, that tends to be a busy time.

I've been writing for a long time and I know personally it's discouraging to see all the fanfic drama that has been going on.

Definitely take a stab at writing if you feel it. Writing for me is a coping mechanism. It's a way to get out all the emotions I bottle.

Yes, indeed. I do write- a ton. Just not fanfic, so far. :) Have had a few ideas but idk.. maybe on a day when I'm not quite so busy and get past the weirdness of making real people do things to each other that they may or may not actually ever do. lol ;)

That is why I tend to write AU these days. The fic I'm working on now has no basis in reality which makes Lambliff work in my head.

Some writers have become frustrated with the lack of response to what they have written that they have quit posting or they are tired of getting scolded for not shipping the RIGHT ship.

I think that pisses me off the most. I mean it's fanfic for pete's sake. Let people write whatever the fuck they want to.

I don't understand the ship drama at all. I read Adam with almost anyone, I'm not choosy as long as it's a good story.

I feel ya bb! Since I've NEVER been on the "right" ship I'm not used to big responses, but "some" - yeah, that would be nice. Even if it's to say - that SUCKS!!! LMAO

Lol there is no right ship. I will read anything with a good plot. I'm just so over the stupid drama it's fanfic for pete's sake.

And you my dear couldn't write sucky fic if you wanted to.
